7.POST - REFLECTION

This is my last post for this book.

At any point, write about how you feel while reading a section of the book. Say how what is happening makes you feel and why?

I'm writing about the situation, where the main plot seems to be finished. That's where Ed Boone admitted Christopher killing the dog. It made me sad and I felt very sorry for Christopher. He became frightened about his dead, pherhaps he will kill himself either. At my point of view this is thinking is a little bit crazy. But I understand him, it wasn't right form Ed to claim that his mother was dead. This fact isn't something, you can keep secret forever. His detection work is now at the end and you follow the other main story, which is about the relationships between Mr Shears and Judy (his mother). Christopher decided to live whit his mother. About one hundred miles berween London and Swindon have to be travelled by the little kid. I felt scared. He was never that far on his own. And first I thought of, how would he buy the tickets he needed to travel by public transportation.
Luckily a police man helped him out. I didn't thought at all that he find his mother in London.

6. POST - ANALYSIS

Write about the style of writing the author uses.

Mark Haddon has a very special type of writing. It's nice to look at and you even have some Pictures on it, which make the book more attractive and exciting to read. The chapters aren't that long, especially in the beginning. You read a few chapters or pages and suddenly you are on chapter 67 on page 48. This means you have read more chapters than pages. Christopher like prime numbers, so the author decided to number the sections only in prime numbers. Mark Haddon's writes lots of direct speaches so you often feel like, you're also in the plot and makes it so a lot more lively. The pictures and drawings help you to imagine the situation in which Christopher was at the Moment, for example the drawing of his street. The English is not that difficult to understand and you could follow the main action easy. But there are often some more difficult words which I don't understand.

5.POST - Prediction

At any point in the story take a guess as to how the story (plot) will go on or finally conclude. What is going to happen.

Well I think the story will end in a positiv way, at least I believe in. I was very surprised about Ed's reaction as he saw Christopher in his room. It already happened, Christopher had read a few letters and his father found that out. He was very polite to Christopher and felt very sorry for him. This is why I think that it could end positiv.

My thinkings of the concluded story:
Ed and Christopher will go to London together, because the kid wanted to visit her. Unfortunately she wasn't able to come to their house. In her letters she always writes about her job and how they change, so this is why I think she is very stressed and won't have enough time. Christopher can't go to London on his own. Why? Because he's only about 14 years old and has the Asperger's Syndrome. So his father will likely go with him. After they have met each other after a long time, Christopher would like to life with his mother, considering her niceness. And than they are getting again into struggles, but Roger is going to arbitrate the conflict. And so they are going their own way like befor.

4.POST - RECOUNT

In your own words what has happened in the book? At any point in the story, retell the major details of the story's plot so far.

Christopher Bone found his neighbour' s dog dead in the garden. The dog belongs to Mrs Shears and Christopher decided  to do ome detection on it. At first there was some huge action. A police man takes him to prison and after that his dad had to  pick him up there. He writes a book with all the information and new stuff in it.
Interviewing one neighbour after the other, and meet people which he had never talked to befor. Specially one old lady, her name is Mrs Alexander. She was very polite to Christopher. Later on, father detected his book, he's writing like a diary.
He became very angry and shouted at the kid and hit him too in his face. First Christopher didn't know wheter he threw it away or hided it inside their house. His dad had to work in the evening someday, that was perfect for him to look after the book. He didn't have to search that long till he discovered it. Next to the book where numerous of letters all addressed at him. In the next part of the book we are aloud to read a few letters and they were all from his mother.

3.POST - CHARACTERIZATION

Describe a character from the book (e.g. physical characteristics, personality, likes, dislikes). Say why you like / dislike the character.

My character is male and has a lot to do with Christopher. I'm talking about his father. His wife is already dead and died suddenly in hospital because of a heart attack. These information seem a little bit weird to me, I don't believe that Christopher's mother is really dead, because Christopher was never aloud to visit her in hospital neither go to the funeral. The following days I spend some time to read the book till the end so I will see, if I am correct or not. Ed Boone is his name, isn't very polite to his son and sometimes even aggressiv. There is a Special "relationship" between him and Mrs Sheers. As Christophers mother "died" she was always in their house overnight and cook for them two. Christopher never realized what's going on, but you as a reader now that she doesn't only cook for them, it's very obvious that they had sex.
We don't know all the background stories so it is not that easy to describe if he is a good or bad person.

2.POST - Empathy

Say in what ways you wish a character would change/develop or what you would like to happen in the life of some character.

I'm concentrating myself on the character Christopher. What I like about Christopher is that he's able to remember things, which he was told not to do. For example as father said that he mustn't put his nose into other peoples business or that he mustn't talk to strangers. But I wish that he would change his mind a little bit. Sadly he describes his older neighbour, Mrs Alexander, also as a stranger, even if they have met each other for several times. Maybe he will develope to learn how things change, that will be great. Mrs Alexander isn't a stranger anymore, but in his opinion she will always be like one. He has to start thinking rational and logical, I know it's not easy for him but maybe it is possible in a way.
The one thing with his "super good days" or "bad days" if there were 3 yellow cars in a row are also not very logical, sometimes it's quite annoying. He's always very honest and tries not to do things which are forbidden for him, this is very impressing in my opinion and he shouldn't change this.

1.POST - REFLECTION

Write down your first impressions of the book or play. Ask some questions. Write down quotations. Copy whole passages that are difficult or that you realy like a lot.

I chose to write down my first impressions about the book, because it's probably the best way to start a blog. The book itself is easy to understand and fun to read at the same time. Christopher is an intelligent person with enormous talent in mathematics and physics. The stories which are runed by the child are not ordinary like others, for example that he hit the policeman and later all that matters to him is that he's able to drive in a policeman's car. I'm wondering what is going to happen with his mother. Would he find the murder of the dog?
In my opinion he describes things very careful, once at the police station as he has to empty his pockets, he tell us one thing after the other which he has taken out of his trousers. £1.47 are there, and the boy explaines us that it is made up of a £1 coin, a 20p coin, two 10p coins and a 2p coin. It's a little bit weird that he has such problems with handling human mimics. Happy and sad are nearly the only expressions he understands.
